Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| Professor Elliot has done groundbreaking work in motivational and personality psychology. He advanced our understanding of human achievement motivation by building a comprehensive theory of mastery and performance goals and their impact on human agency, and he created a unitary framework of personality differences by linking human traits to basic needs of approach and avoidance. His theories have been adopted worldwide and stimulated research in both basic and applied fields of psychology. Using his Humboldt award, he currently collaborates with R. Pekrun and colleagues at the University of Munich in analysing achievement-related emotional processes. |
